We are currently offering placements for counselling students

You will need to have a Fitness to Practice letter from your tutor

We do not currently provide supervision for students, so it will be your responsibility to ensure you receive sufficient supervision

we are insured so you will not need to have your own Counselling Insurance

You will need to be a Student Member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) or equivalent

We will carry out an Enhanced DBS check before you can begin your placement

Your placement will take place in-person at Ramsgate Counselling, the Argyle Centre, York Street, Ramsgate, kent, CT11 9DS

If you are successful, we will allocate you a room for a four hour block during which you would aim to see three clients

if this is your first placement we will start you off with one client, then allocate more when you feel ready

Longer blocks may be available, but we wouldn’t allow you to see more than five clients per week

If you want to have your placement outside business hours, we may be able provide evening and weekend placements

when you qualify, if you continue to volunteer with us, we will support you as you set up your private practice by providing you with a room to see your clients and advertising on our site
